1966 Background: Casey Pieretti was born and raised in Carson City, NV. He played basketball for Douglas High School and was team captain and starting point guard hisSenior year which led to a basketball scholarship. In November 1985, three weeks before the season began, Casey was disabled by a drunk driver. |

![]() Nov 1980 Drunk Driver I: (Carson City, NV) During Casey's freshman year in high school, his father and ten-year-old brother were hit and killed by a drunk driver (.28 BAC) at 10a.m. on a Saturday morning. The wreck happened as they were driving home from Bible study less than 2 miles from home. |

![]() July 1985 College: Pat Peters, a high school friend, convinces Casey to be a walk on player at Wassuck College where Pat has a scholarship. Casey talks to the coach at Wassuck and agrees to transfer to the school and tryout for the team. He makes the team and is given a scholarship in September and by October, breaks into the starting lineup as point guard. |

![]() Nov 1985 Drunk Driver II: (Carson City, NV) While visiting family and friends at home Casey is struck by a drinking driver crushing both his legs and knees. Ten days later his right leg is amputated below the knee. It will be three months before Casey will be able to stand up on his own again. |

![]() March 1992: (Houston, TX) Birth of Team Definite Impact: Casey and friend, Joe Gorton, travel to Houston to attend a play about Casey's life done by Mary Lynn Mannon's 5th grade class at AA Milne Elementary. Following the show, Casey performs for the entire school. Both the play and the show are a smash and are picked up by the Houston Chronicle, local network news stations and CNN Headline news. |

![]() April 1993 Skate America: (San Diego, CA) Casey and co-skater Joel Bott leave San Diego to skate over 3100 miles to Washington D.C. During the trip, the Casey and Joel perform over 100 shows and demos for schools, hospitals, restaurants, malls and the media. |

March 1994 NBA: (Atlanta, GA) While on an eight state tour for Nationwide Insurance, the Atlanta Hawks invite Casey to perform at the second half period break in front of a crowd of over 18,000 people. The audience gets to see the first ever Inline Slam Show. For Casey, it's a fantasy come true...doing a slam dunk during a NBA Game! Casey ends the show with a slam-dunk over the Hawks Mascot. |
